Garden and Brush compost

Compost Mulch is a versatile material derived from composted "green waste" such as grass and brush, and may include food waste.  It is well suited to be added to soil to improve its structure and loosen it, in addition to functioning as a mulch on the soil surface.  As a mulch it protects the soil below from drying out.  As irrigation water or rain filters through it, nutrients will be carried to the soil below.  Some gardeners will appreciate the earthy like odor that emanates from it, generally dissipating with time or applied water.  Occasionally, this mulch may contain a small amount of plastic (less than 1% by weight).  While not harmful to plant health, it my be considered less aesthetically appealing, more often it is not present.
